It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Raymond Bernard on July 3rd, 2026, at Almonte Country Haven Nursing home.
Born December 11th, 1928, in Field Ontario the second oldest of 13 children. He leaves behind 1 brother Roland Bernard and 3 sisters Francoise Horkavy, Gertrude Robillard and Jeanne D’Arc L’Heureux.
Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife, Henriette Bernard (née Thibodeau), in 2019. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Suzanne Bernard (John Watts) Nicole Simon (Bob Simon) Michel Bernard, Pierre Bernard and Jo-Anne Provost.
Raymond was also grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 20th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Almonte Country Haven for the past 11 months for the care, kindness, and dignity they provided Raymond in his final days.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
