Orrin passed away suddenly on May 7th in hospital.

He loved his family and was much loved by his wife Pam, his daughter Carie (Mike), son Glen (Monique), grandchildren Chelsea and Miranda (Austin) who gave Orrin his dearly loved great grandson Henry last July. He leaves in Saskatchewan his sister Adrienne, and her family son Les Stukings (Charlene) grandchildren Mitchel and Sarah and three great grandchildren, plus close cousins.

Orrin was born to Sam and Edna Clayton in Harris, Saskatchewan, attended school and university in Saskatoon, where he graduated in Agriculture. Orrin spent his working life with the Canadian Seed Growers Association, in Ottawa, for whom he travelled across Canada. He counted many Canadian Seed Growers as his friends. He wrote the history of the Canadian Seed Growers to celebrate their 100 year anniversary.

Orrin was a man of many interests and accomplishments; calligrapher, artist, photographer, world traveller.  He sang tenor with the Aged in Harmony Barbershop Chorus, loved his home and despite physical difficulties managed to remain with his wife in their home with assistive devices, stair glides and help in the house and garden from the very welcome assistance from Orrin’s son and daughter.

The family will receive condolences with a celebration of Orrin’s life on Friday, June 19th, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K1L 8A6)
