It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Ninon Hurtubise, who passed away on July 9, 2026. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Albert Labelle and the late Juliette Bélanger. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Raymond Hurtubise, and her cherished “daughters”/nieces, Liane Murphy (Richard Bottos) and Chantal Murphy-Lalonde (Denis Lalonde). She also leaves behind her two adored “grandchildren,” Danica (Jordan Davis) and Francis. She is also survived by her sister, Causette Murphy Dolan (the late James Dolan); her nieces and nephews, Brian, Louise (Sylvain), Anne (Paul), John (Sandrine), the late Michael (Marbellys), James, Raymond (Nicole), Sharon (Daniel), and the late Louise (the late Hugh); her cousins, including Manon Rainville; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her very dear friend, Jacqueline Chartrand. She was predeceased by her sisters, Gisele and Nicole, and her brother, Gilles.

Ninon was known for her unwavering devotion to her husband, her family, and her friends. Generous with her time and kindness, she was always ready to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her joy of life, her deep faith, and her many talents. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Stonemont Residence, as well as the staff of the Emergency Department and the 3C Unit at Montfort Hospital, for their compassionate and attentive care.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Wildhine Lominy for her exceptional palliative care.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The family will receive condolences beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In Ninon’s memory, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada – Ottawa Chapter
