Marie Seguin

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Marie on October 25, 2026, at the age of 81.

Marie was born on January 21, 1945, and is predeceased by her parents Henri Séguin and Stella Pagé.

Marie is survived by son Jason (Ursula) Mainville and daughter Tonya Mainville, daughter-in-law Edie Hopkins and grandchildren Kevin, Madison and Téana.

Marie enjoyed a long and successful career at The Ottawa Hospital as a Residency Program Administrator. A true master of her domain, she took great pride in her work and played an instrumental role in the success of those around her. As one of her colleagues fondly recalled, “She was unbelievably good at her job, but also a big part of your life.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marie had a special place in her heart for children. She cherished raising her own family and was excited to become a doting grandmother. Her love extended beyond her own family, as she took great joy in meeting and getting to know the grandchildren of her friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on November 4, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 2414 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa. A funeral service will follow, with a reception afterward. Interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery.
