Baptista, Evaristo Brito – Evaristo passed away peacefully at the Stonemont Retirement Residence in Ottawa on July 17, 2026, in his 93rd year. His health had been fragile over the last several months with heart and other health issues. Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Alda (John), Armando (Amy), the late Angelo (Francine), Olivia (Jim), and Paulo (Jane). Cherished grandfather to Fernando, Sylvia (Stephen), Christina, Amalia, Aysia, Sonia (Ryan), Corina (Alex), Ali (Scott), Louis, Sebastien, and Dominic, as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at Beechwood National Memorial Centre – 280 Beechwood Avenue – on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 from 10-12. Thank You to the staff at the Stonemont Retirement Residence – God bless you all for the excellent care and compassion during his stay. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
