I am gutted on hearing this news; my deepest condolences to Catherine and Pat. I knew Matthew through Catherine and then upon Matthew’s enrolment in the Governor General’s Foot Guards in Jan 2004. A bright rising star who rose to the rank of Sgt and then component transferred to the RCAF in 2013. The picture on the Obit captures his character and the light he brings wherever he goes.
He will be missed and remembered fondly.

Our dearly departed Matthew gave us a great gift in how he deeply loved and was devoted to his family. His commitment to world peace was freely given and to our immense benefit. Our cherished remembrance will always be of his generous smile, engaging stories, and sense of humor. All have left an indelible and endearing memory. Forever in our hearts! He sings and dances with the angels and will forever be our shining light. Our deep condolences to Patrick and Catherine, Eve, Lucas and Liam, Joel, Monica, Henry, and Logan, and all extended family.
