Section 27, Beechwood Cemetery – Canada’s National Cemetery

Join the members of the 33 Combat Engineer Regiment (33 CER), veterans, families, and supporters as we gather to honour the proud history, service, and sacrifice of Canada’s military engineers.

This annual commemorative ceremony recognizes the contributions of past and present members of the regiment while remembering those who answered the call to serve Canada. Through reflection, remembrance, and fellowship, participants will pay tribute to the values of duty, leadership, teamwork, and service that continue to define the engineer spirit.

The ceremony will also recognize the enduring legacy of Officer Cadet William J. (Bill) Whitley, whose courage and selflessness remain an inspiration to generations of Canadian military engineers.

Held in Section 27 at Beechwood Cemetery, Canada’s National Cemetery, this gathering serves as an important opportunity to preserve regimental heritage, honour military service, and ensure the stories of those who served are never forgotten.

All members of the military community, veterans, families, and the public are welcome to attend.
