On the morning of Tuesday, the 14th of November 2023 at the University of Ottawa’s Heart Institute, at the age of 55, we lost a remarkable soul and the world’s most devoted dad following a remarkably sudden illness.

Vincent leaves his loving daughter and best friend, Danika, his son-in-law and -in-love, Pietro (Giampa), his adored granddaughters, Rose and Freyja, his aunt Gabrielle (Roberge-Nault), his aunt Henriette (Adam-Hatem of Beirut, Lebanon), numerous cousins including his favourite one, Joanne, whom he loved as a sister, and his beloved newfoundland dog, Cash. He is predeceased by his treasured parents, Huguette (née Roberge) and Raymond.

Vincent ran a successful business in the hospitality industry alongside his father for 25 years before selling the company and retiring ten years ago. Following his retirement, he found joy and accomplishment in cooking and in combining his two greatest passions, guitars, and woodworking, and began building stunning custom guitars. He did, however, love nothing more than spending time with “his girls” and was looking forward to moving to the West Coast to be with them.

The privileged few who knew him well knew him to be a deeply compassionate and generous man of unimpeachable integrity, a principled man through thick and thin, and - to his daughter - the most devoted and loving father.

He leaves an infinite void.

Friends and family are invited to the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at 9:00AM, followed by a Service at 10:00AM.

For those unable to attend in person, a live stream link will be available on the Beechwood website. In lieu of flowers, Vincent would have preferred a donation made in his honour to a charity benefiting our homeless community.

Was so shocked to hear this news and very sad I’ll never get to joke with him again. Known him since I was 4 and his mom babysat me. He was Always a nice and funny guy and he will certainly be missed.
