"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Saleem Hage on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents, Fouad and Almaze (Howrani). Beloved husband of the late Samia Hage.  Loving father to Rema Hage (Georges Jeha) and Rula Skaff (Walid).  Doting grandfather to Dr. Kadie, Kristiana and Karissa Jeha.

Dear brother to Michele (Amal) and Elias (Betty) and predeceased by Victoria (the late Antonio Riveiro), Madeleine (Fouad Jabbour), Souad (the late Sami Haboush) and Wadad (the late Camille Abou Hamad).

He will be missed by friends and family near and far.

We would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa Carleton Dialysis Clinic and all his wonderful physicians for their compassionate care over the years.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 9:30AM at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral - 2975 Riverside Drive, until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30AM. Interment to follow at Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery - 3700 Prince of Wales Drive.

In memory of Saleem, donations to St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, the Kidney Foundation or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.

I knew Saleem and Samia for over 50 years and kept in touch with them via phone calls and Christmas cards. They were both wonderful people and two of the best friends I have ever had.
My immense sympathy to their family as I just found this site and saw that Saleem had joined Samia in death and was deeply saddened. It has been a very rough time for their children and grandchildren and I hope they are coping as well as could be expected.
