Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Robert Andrew Holloway, 86, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on the 29th of November 2022. He was born to parents Cecelia McEvoy and Charles Holloway, on the 2nd of September 1936 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

He graduated from Rim of the World High School and went on to study Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor in Science and Engineering. He then enrolled in Queens Royal Canadian Military College, graduating in 1969. He continued his education at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1979.

Robert was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Forces, joining in 1953. He achieved the rank of Major and held the job title of Base Engineer, working as a Civil Engineer for 23 years before retiring in 1976.

After many years of dedicated service, he retired. Robert then worked with the Department of Indian Affairs from 1976 to 1988, holding the job title of Director of Engineering and Architecture. He continued his professional journey into Canada's Public Works sector, holding the job title of Project leader from 1988 to 1992. This is where he began one of his most esteemed positions of President of Restoration at CSA Building Sciences LTD. During his time there, between 1992-1997, he led the process of the restoration of the buildings at Parliament Hill in Ottawa Ontario.

Robert had many interests and hobbies, gracefully excelling at everything he did. A few of his favorites included traveling the world, spending time with family and friends, music, theater, and collecting rare coins. In 1988, Robert was honored with as a member of the Polar Bear Chapter for Crossing the Arctic Circle. In 2015, at the age of 79, he traveled to Africa for a Safari, a once in a lifetime trip with his grandson, Wolfgang Holloway. Robert always proved age; young or old was just a number. Mindset and personal will is the true determining factor.

Robert met Helen Christina Holloway and Engaged on July 6th, of 1957. They were married \shortly after, on December 21st, of 1957 in Melfort, Saskatchewan. Together they raised 1 child: Lori Lee Holloway.

Robert is survived by his Daughter Lori Holloway, Granddaughter Savannah Holloway-Jackson, Grandson Wolfgang Holloway-Jackson, and Great-Grandson Cohen Holloway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ottawa Little Theater in Robert Holloway's Honour.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff and caretakers at the General Hospital, Civic Hospital, Heart Institute, and LHIN for their care and compassion for our beloved Robert.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Bob from the Nautilus Inn. He was always so friendly and kind. He refused to wear pants in Florida! I remember seeing him walking down the street in shorts and it would be freezing!! He'd just laugh and say Naa, this is nothing! He will be missed

We are so sorry for this very sad loss. Uncle Bob was the end of an era, the last of Dad's brothers and sisters. He was so kind to us when Dad died many years ago. Brenda and I send all our love.
