Passed away at home surrounded by family on December 16, 2023. Beloved wife to José Manuel. Loving mother of Betty (Erick Ferguson), Sabrina (Kristan Persic), and Nadine (Jonathan Grimes). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Quinn and Julia Ferguson; and Benjamin and Lucas Grimes. Daughter of the late Julia and Manuel Joaquim Pinto. Sister of the late Manuel Pinto (Emilia). She leaves to mourn her siblings Maria Teixeira (late Rudezindo Augusto), Luzia Pereira (late Abel), Alfredo Pinto, Emilia Frade (Antonio), Armando Pinto (Suzie), and José Pinto. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 208 Beechwood Avenue on Wednesday, December 20, from 4—7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Senhor Santo Cristo Church, 1100 Kenaston Street. Burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, masses in her memory are appreciated.

There are no words to describe the loss of a mother, a friend to many and for me, an aunt. I will always remember Odete as a kind, generous and caring person and I am very grateful for the many memories that I have of her growing up when I would go visit my cousins Betty, Sabrina and Nadine. I will cherish those moments spent in her company and all the great things I learned from her.
I always admired her steadfast faith in God, and I know that during this difficult time, the Lord will be an ever present hope and will help carry us all through the storm of sorrow and the sea of loss to a better place where we can remember her and all those memories will continue to live on in our hearts.
