In Ottawa on July 25, 2023 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of William Mulock (Bill) for 71 years. Mary Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Marion and Frank Harrison, and her brother Bruce Harrison (Marguerite Baggs). Wonderful mother to daughter Kathy Gillespie and son Frank (Linda). Iconic “Grandmommy” to Meredith (Patrick Glinski) and Ian Gillespie (Rebecca Cobb), Caroline and Courtney Mulock. Proud great-grandmother to Georgia and William Glinski.

Born with an innate sense of style and a love of conversation, Mary Liz found joy and purpose in her cherished family, her close and lifelong friendships, and her meaningful volunteer work. Mary Liz had a remarkable ability to connect with people: she will be remembered for the countless hours spent on the phone, listening, laughing and chatting with both dear friends and familiar acquaintances. Her love of fashion - exemplified by her deep interest in fashion magazines, her weekly hair appointments, her frequent shopping expeditions (with friends, family or Bill patiently in tow) and her sharp and timeless outfits - has made a lasting impression on her children and grandchildren. In her later years, despite facing the challenges of dementia, she remained extra-ordinarily loving, happy, and strong.

The family would like to thank her devoted caregiver, Elena Santos, and the attentive staff at The Garry J. Armstrong Home for the compassionate care she received over her last years.

A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 194 Fourth Ave. Ottawa on Saturday, August 12 at 1:30 pm with a reception after at Beechwood Cemetery Reception Centre. 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.
