With great sadness, we regret to advise of the unexpected death of Leading seaman David Morphy (Ret’d) on 14 February 2023 at the age of 60. David was the son of the late Elwood Lloyd and the late Evelene Margaret (née Masterson) Morphy. Brother to the late Susan Ann (Mike) Routliffe, Ann Marie (Michael) Nagrodski, William James Morphy, John Joseph (Fredissa) Morphy and Stephen John Morphy. Uncle to Sarah, Colleen, Rebecca, Alexander and Brittany. Loving godfather to Alexa and Devin.
The family would like to thank Marco Rushton for being a true Brother and friend to Dave and always being there for him. Dave's life was greatly improved thanks to Marco and his children Devin and Alexa.
There will be no Visitation. There will be a private Memorial Service celebrated for family and close friends.

I can't believe such a great cousin has passed -- and much to young. My memories with David is him visiting me and my sister and hanging out at the house. He was like a cool big brother and he made me laugh and imagine my own future when I would one day grow up.
He was handsome, capable, and a gentleman with a good heart too.
Rest well, David. You are now free to roam with no pain holding you down.
