We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our son, Kevin at the age of 51.  After a two-week battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024.

Beloved son of Huguette and Paul Blissett. Kevin will be forever remembered by his uncles and aunts, Carol (Georgette), Nicole (late Jean-Marc), Yves (Sandy), Danielle (Marc), late Keith (Denise), and cousins late Nadia, Shawn, Michèlle, Christine (Alex), Véronika, Mélanie, Brittney, Nicholas, Shannon, Bob (Shannon), late Louis, Mélisa, Julien (Erin) and by many dear friends. Kevin was a kind, compassionate and respected person and had many treasured friends.

Kevin had an opinion about almost everything and was an expert in music, politics and sports. He was passionate about sports, particularly the Senators, the Redblacks, the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved a variety of music and was knowledgeable in all genres. One of the characteristics I admired most; Kevin called his mom and dad every day to ensure everything was ok. The world lost a beautiful, giving and caring person. We love you forever with wonderful memories.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. followed by a Reception. For those who wish to make a donation in Kevin’s memory please do so towards The Ottawa Mission or to the Ottawa Food Bank.

I worked with Kevin in the early 90’s
Lost touch but was very saddened to read his obituary. Kevin was definitely a one in a million young man and we had many good chats. One thing we talked about a lot as I am old enough to be his mother, was his deep love and respect for his parents.
I hope Kevin’s parents can find a way to get through these sad times by seeing what a remarkable man he was through all the comments.
RIP Kevin

As I sit here writing this, I am still in disbelief that you are gone my brother. I am blessed that I spent some precious time with you as of late. There are not many words that exist that justify the characteristic of your being. You have tough us so much in life simply by being you. 45 years of friendship filled with laughs, smiles and endless memories. Rest in great peace my brother. One day we will reunite. Je t’aime.

Dear Paul and Huguette,
Please accept our deepest condolences in the loss of your beautiful son Kevin. No words can truly ease the pain you must be feeling right now but, we sincerely hope that in time, the love and memories you shared with Kevin over all those precious years, help sustain and comfort you forever.

As you know, Elaine and I were so fortunate to have had Kevin as one of our employees for many years and we can honestly say that he was one of the most dedicated, loyal and hard working employees we ever had on our staff - and without a doubt Kevin was loved and respected by all who ever worked with him !

Again dear friends…our very deepest sympathies.
Love,
Peter & Elaine

Kevin was a friend that welcomed me as if I was family. He would never let me leave without a hug. I am grateful for the almost 13 years that I knew him. I will miss the hockey games and most of all the late night phone calls when there was a game on and he knew I was watching. For some reason, he wanted to know what I was thinking. He was such a kind soul and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Kevin,

It was an absolute pleasure working with you all those years. I will cherish the memories of the few times we met, and the discussions we had about hockey and football, especially Habs and Sens.

You will be deeply missed. Rip my friend 😢
