We are saddened to announce that Garnet passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023 with his children by his side.

Garnet was predeceased by his loving wife Betty.  He is survived by his children Mary (Terry), Steven (Manon), Patricia Pharand (Denis), Pamela Boudreau, Scott (Sue). Popeye to Sarah(Omar),  Sean (Stephanie), Mackenzie (Chris), Christopher (Melanie), Melanie, Amanda, Elissa, Nicole, Bradley(Catherine), Ryan, Robert (Kelsey), Shane (Sarah).  Great grand father to Riley, Tamara, Amira, Jonathan, Melodie, Liam, Eddie, Adam, Nova, Wyatt, Logan, Jacob, Colin, Maxime, Noemie, Charlie, Rainey, Wren and Octavia.

Predeceased by his parents Marybelle and Peter Sauve, sisters Sarah, Viola, Susan, Margaret, Shirley, Pearl, Doreen, Darlene and brothers John and Peter. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday July 27th at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, ON) from 9 to 10am, followed by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Society of Canada.

Very, very sad to hear this news. I've known Garnet since we were in Germany together in the sixties and then we worked and had a few ales together in Rockcliffe. Sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to family and friends. May you now Rest In Peace old buddy.
