Frank passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023.  Frank was born to Joseph and Carmel (née Chiodo) Sirianni, brother of Helen Mercier, predeceased by his brother Anthony and sisters Mary Lerher and Jenny Jones.  He was married to Judy Elaine Austin for 49 years until she went to be with the Lord on February 14th, 2019.  He lived a long full life alongside his wife Judy and they were loved by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends both near and far.  Frank was a lifelong member of the Life Centre Christian Fellowship in Ottawa since 1983 where he served the congregation with dedication and excellence for over many years.  Frank and Judy opened their lives and home for family, friends and members of their church community displaying love and hospitality.  They are together again in heaven because of the promise of resurrection in Jesus.

Frank has closed his eyes for the last time on earth but has opened them for the first time in heaven in the presence of the Savior Jesus Christ and is joined with all God’s people, including his beloved Judy who have been redeemed throughout the ages.

A big thank you to Frank’s niece, Donna, for all the help and support she gave to her uncle Frank, as well as the staff at Symphony Living, Lumberman Way.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) on Wednesday, July 12th from 9-10am followed by the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CHEO Foundation.

Was so sad to hear of Frank’s passing - he was like family on our street. Kindest conversationalist and always checking in to see if I was home and ok. My kids always stopped to chat - he will be deeply missed on Sauterne Park ?

Words are fleeting to express the void Frank leaves. A dear friend that I met in the last years. His kindness and compassion touched me. His greatest accomplishment was finding Judy, who he loved dearly. Frank simply loved. He loved his wife, his family (numerous stories about spaghetti and hunting), his nephews and nieces (he considered them to be his children), the Lord, the church (he was one.of the founding fathers), and people (a great guy to have coffee with at the shopping centre, complete strangers would always join in).

Frank lived life feeling blessed after being interned twice for tuberculosis, and having his knee fused after being struck by a car. Frank was definitely a rock and the salt of the earth!

Deepest sympathies for the passing of Frank. Great friend to my father and learned a lot with him during all the lunches at Place d’Orleans. Always happy to see him and will miss him deeply. May God bless you.

I write this comments with much sadness at the loss of a friend and yet with gratitude for a life well lived, and one full and complete in Christ. Frank is now at rest with his Lord and Saviour and I look forward to seeing him again. I met Frank in Church and our friendship deepened during the pandemic. Looking back, our friendship may not have grown but for the pandemic. I am certainly grateful and much enriched to have known Frank. He attended Church, Life Centre Orleans campus, regularly at 9 AM on Sundays. He was always early and in fact among the earliest. His seat, at a the near right corner, entering the sanctuary, virtually had his name written on it. A number of our Church members often make their way to Frank to say hello. At least once a month, he and I will visit before service started and catch up on life. He was always funny, optimistic and encouraging. He would mention Judy often and spoke lovingly how he missed her. Frank loved the Lord and loved people. He spokesman glowingly of his relatives especially Donna and Sean and while in the hospital looked forward to visits by Lindsay and a number of us that saw him from time to time. He shared with me in a spirit of humility but what I judge to be his impressive accomplishments as a civil servant; he enjoyed his work. While he was sick, he was optimistic and a symbol of courage. He persevered through the challenges resulting from ill health while displaying an exemplary Christ-like disposition. Whether in health or in sickness, Frank taught and showed the life of victory in Christ. He has now earned his victory over death and reunited with his wife. So long, my friend. So long!

Our deepest condolences to Frank’s family and friends on his recent passing. I knew Frank for many years when he was my supervisor and dear friend when we worked for Supply and Services together. He was a great mentor, friend and brother in Christ and will be greatly missed. He is now reunited with dear Judy, friends and family in Christ in the presence of our Lord. Both Margaret Culhane and I were tremendously blessed for having known him and we look forward to the day we will see him and Judy again in Paradise. May God bless you all.
