It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Taylor at the age of 69. After several cardiac events in recent years, David passed away at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa on December 29, 2022. Predeceased by his mother Alice Taylor (nee Barkwell). He is survived by his father George Taylor (Lois), and his siblings Beverley Foubert (nee Taylor), Barry Taylor, John Taylor (Susan), and Nancy Distad (nee Taylor) (Hardee). Additionally, he is survived by his nieces and nephews Tracy McKenna (nee Foubert), Julie Stevens (nee Foubert) , Cher Taylor, Kim Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Sam Taylor, as well as his friends and numerous extended family members.
David was truly one of a kind, he was quick to smile, with a generous heart and a wicked sense of humor. He was a talented artist, creating beautiful works of art both with his hands or with his computer. Music was one of his many passions, particularly classic rock, he could often be found listening to music or with a guitar in his hands, whether at a family gathering, or with his band buddies in his basement. Family gatherings were always filled with happiness and the sound of the classics he would play. In his spare time, David also loved to play golf, and was an avid fisherman, often taking trips with friends and family to partake in his favorite activities.
Most notably, David was a gentle and loving soul who was liked and respected by anyone he met, and absolutely adored by his friends and family. We will cherish the memories, the time we had with him, and the mark that he left on all of our lives. He was the best of us and will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 from 2-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation may do so in David’s name to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.

My Uncle Dave was just an amazing person all around. He was such a gentle and kind man, with a heart of gold. His sense of humour was one of his best qualities. He would light up a room with his presence. The bond we shared will always be unforgettable. He was a man a few words but when he played his music he could quiet the room. He was always known to my sister and I as “the hammer man” because he could fix anything with his bare hands. He had a love for Coca Cola for the longest time and I will always remember him when drinking a can of Coca Cola. Him and our family had an unbreakable bond no matter the distance. My Dad (Barry) and him were stuck together at the hip and would do anything for one another. I will miss his laugh, his hugs, his caring nature and his soft spoken voice. You will always remain in all of our hearts Uncle Dave. I love you to pieces. May you Rest In Peace with our loved ones who are passed.

So sorry to here of the passing of my buddy Dave Taylor. We met in 1976 working at coca cola and who would of thought we'd retire there. In the 80's I moved to Loyola and became neighbors with Dave !!boy we had a few late night dart games.A kind gentle soul gone to soon.My condolences to the family
