                                            After Glow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways.

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

“Our family would like to thank everyone for sharing their condolences with our family.  The kind words are of great comfort to us as we try to come to terms with Craig’s passing.

Thank you to everyone for the beautiful flowers and the donations to Asthma Canada.  We greatly appreciate the kindness, support, and generosity shown to us during this difficult time.”

Beechwood Team:   “Our family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for the thoughtfulness presented to us during our time of bereavement.”

Craig André Richer-Laflèche, age 37 of Embrun, Ontario, passed away on 10 April 2019. Craig was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 29 August 1981 to Gilles and Sheila Richer-Laflèche (Fugere).  Craig was the proud father of Sébastien and Alexis Richer-Laflèche whom he loved dearly.  Left to morn is his brother, Kristopher, his wife Alison, and their son Oliver.  Also survived by many loving family members.  Craig was a very loving, generous, kind-hearted, friendly person with a great passion for music.  Craig was the first to lend a hand to anyone who asked. He will be missed by all that knew him.  A Celebration of Craig’s life will be held at 13:30 hours on 03 May 2019, at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario.   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Asthma Canada (www.asthma.ca).

Caroline, thanks so much for remembering Craig's Birthday. Of all that knew him, it is not surprising that you would be the one to wish him a happy birthday. Craig would be pleased. He treasured your friendship. We miss him every day, he is always in our thoughts.

I taught Craig music at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School High School. Words cannot express how shocked I am right now. He was "instrumental" at helping the young "Mr. P." encourage and inspire students to sign up for music. The enthusiasm he brought to every class made me realize that I had chosen the right profession. There wasn't a day that passed where he wasn't in the music room practicing or being part of every extra-curricular musical event that was offered. I'm sure he was an amazing father as well.
