It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Beatrice Fyfe (nee Hurdman). She died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Monday, January 15, 2024. Beatrice was born on October 4, 1948, in Ottawa to the late Walter and Winnie Hurdman. She was the dearly loved mother of Heather Fyfe. She was the cherished sister of the late Jean Oxley (née Hurdman) and aunt of David Pickett and great aunt of Walter and Isabella. Bebee will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Beatrice was a great lover of animals and known for her sense of humour, kind heart and generosity. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Country Cat Sanctuary or the Ottawa Mission would be appreciated.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life that will be held at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
It is with Great Sadness that I send my condolences on the passing of My Dearest childhood friend since we were four years old! When Bebee walked into a room, it lit up with her lovely presence, as her Most Wonderful sense of humour touched one and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. The Light of Her Life was her Most Treasured Daughter Heather, whom Bebee often spoke about, as their Special Bond was a Most Admirable and Cherished Gift! Her sincerity and compassion said it all as to the Amazing Friend she was and will continue to be within my heart. I am Dearly Thankful for the Precious Memories that I have collected throughout our Special friendship.
