It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ana Margarita Muñoz (nee Adrian). At the graceful age of 94, Margarita was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years Rafael Muñoz, her son Jose Muñoz and great grandson Kobe. Loving mother of Alba Rosa ( Francisco), and Luis Manuel (Manny) (Kimberly), Angela and Miguel from Mexico. She will be dearly missed by grandchildren; Danny (Kelsey), Hayley(Jayden), Jonah (Jessica)Frankie (Sasha), Ana Vanessah (Keagan), Abigail, Jacob, Elida and Karina. Great- Grandchildren, Maria, Alora, Deanna, Thomas and Maeve. Her sister Maria, brother's Andres and Francisco along numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her longtime friends Paula and Raymunda.
Family would like to thank Dr. Desjardins and her family at Marochel Manor for all the love and support. A special thanks to Shanna, Joanne and Lisette for being with her in her last days.
Margarita was born in the Dominican Republic came to Canada in 1962 and made it her home for 61 years. Pre-deceased by her parents Juan and Alba Rosa Adrian. Here she met the love of life Rafael, married and had three children along the way Margarita met people who became her family.
Margarita will be remembered for her kindness, smile and "Joie de Vivre "
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) on Sunday, August 27th from 5 to 9pm . With a Holy mass on Monday August 28 at 2 pm at Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica, 385 Sussex Dr, Ottawa, followed by internment at Beechwood Cemetery.

A la elegante edad de 94 años, Margarita, fue predecida por el fallecimiento de su querido esposo Rafael Muñoz de 49 años, su hijo José Muñoz y su bisnieto Kobe. Madre amorosa de Alba Rosa (Francisco) y Luis Manuel (Manny) (Kimberly), Ángela y Miguel de México. Sus nietos la extrañarán muchísimo; Danny (Kelsey), Hayley (Jayden), Jonah (Jessica), Frankie (Sasha), Ana Vanessah (Keagan), Abigail, Jacob, Elida y Karina. Bisnietos, María, Alora, Deanna, Thomas y Maeve. Su hermana María, sus hermanos Andrés y Francisco junto con numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Sus amigas de toda la vida, Paula y Raymunda, también la extrañarán.
La familia quisiera agradecer a la Dra. Desjardins y su familia en Marochel Manor por todo el amor y apoyo. Un agradecimiento especial a Shanna, Joanne y Lisette por estar con ella en sus últimos días.

El dia lunes, 28 de agosto 2023, a las 2:00 P.M. se celebrará una misa de cuerpo presente en la Catedral Notre Dame de Ottawa, 385 Sussex Dr, Ottawa, seguido de la sepultura de nuestra madre en su lugar de descanso.

She was a rock in your family and an individual who positively impacted the lives of so many people around her. I fondly remember her 90th birthday celebration and how we packed so many people into a normal sized Orleans house to celebrate her and to see how happy and full of life she was. Margarita will be missed by all those who knew her. May she now rest in peace and reunite with her family awaiting above.
