Bruno Smith passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 8, 2024 at the age of 86, in Ottawa, Ontario.
Bruno is survived by his beautiful wife, Nicole, with whom he spent 61 years of marriage. He was the proud father of Christine (Kurt Costello) and Marc (Wendy Stewart) and the grandfather of Nicholas and David Costello, and Nathaniel Smith.
He also leaves to mourn his sister Jeannine and her husband Louis-Arthur Trudel, and numerous nephews and nieces.
After spending a rewarding career in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Bruno concluded his career at the National Research Center in Ottawa.
Bruno will be honored at a Celebration of Life which will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Interment will follow in the National Military Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery.
