Ryan Welsh
Horticultural Assistant
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ryan is a Horticultural Assistant with 15 years of experience in the landscape and garden industry. A Graduate Algonquin College’s Horticultural Industries program in 2017 and Apprenticeship program in 2020, he joined the Beechwood team in 2025.
Combining strong technical knowledge with hands-on expertise, he is recognized for his intuition and attention to detail. His focus on elevating green spaces in a sustainable and impactful way, reflect a commitment to the preservation of Beechwood Cemetery as a National Historical Site of Canada.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys woodworking projects, playing sports, and spending time in nature with his wife Kathleen, and their Irish Setter, Kobe.
