Kirk Sharkey

Kirk Sharkey was born and raised in Ottawa and currently serves as the Operations Foreman at Beechwood Cemetery, where he is deeply committed to ensuring families and communities receive the support, care, and professionalism they need during some of life’s most important moments.

Kirk began his career at Beechwood more than seven years ago as an operator and, through dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic, steadily advanced into his current role as Foreman - Cemetery operations. Known for his hands-on approach and team-first mentality, he plays an important role in maintaining the high standards and compassionate service that define Beechwood Cemetery.

Beyond his operational responsibilities, Kirk has also helped foster team culture and innovation within the organization. He was the driving force behind the development of Beechwood Cemetery’s first derby car, a creative team-building and skills-development initiative that brought staff together in a unique and engaging way.

Outside of work, Kirk enjoys golfing, barbecuing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Vero.
