深切懷念摯愛的母親 盤劉雪芬女士
我們懷著無比沉痛的心情宣布，我們摯愛的母親盤劉雪芬女士，於二〇二六年七月三十日在Ottawa General Hospital 安詳辭世，享年九十四歲。在母親人生的最後時刻，有摯愛的家人陪伴在側，送她平安歸回天家。
盤劉雪芬女士於一九三二年出生於中國廣東的農民家庭。她一生經歷了時代的社會巨變，儘管年少時沒有機會接受正規教育，卻憑藉著自身的堅韌與努力，成為村裡的婦女委員會代表，深受鄉里敬重。三十二歲時，她移居香港與丈夫團聚，建立家庭。
四十九歲時，盤劉雪芬女士痛失丈夫 盤肇棠 。儘管獨自撫養四個孩子，她依然堅強地面對一切挑戰。身為單親母親，她辛勤工作，養家活口，同時也要照顧年邁的母親。因著她的愛護、教導與犧牲，四位子女均成長為正直善良的人，她為此感到無比自豪。她是一位擁有非凡力量的女性，她的愛深深影響了身邊每一個人。
外孫 Anson 出生後，盤劉雪芬女士移居加拿大，與長女 Rainbow（彩麗）一家共同生活。她以極強的適應力融入了新的生活環境，並以無私的愛協助照料外孫、陪伴他快樂成長。在加拿大的歲月裡，她享受著三代同堂的天倫之樂，度過了充滿溫馨、關懷與歡笑的黃金晚年。
二十年前，盤劉雪芬女士蒙恩信主，成為基督徒。自此，基督信仰成為她生命中的力量與依靠。雖然在過去幾年裡，她面對不少健康上的挑戰和身體的軟弱，但她始終堅定地仰望、信靠上帝，並從神而來的恩典中獲得平安、安慰與力量。在疾病與艱難中，她以信心面對每一天，堅信主的同行與看顧。
盤劉雪芬女士生前熱愛旅遊、樂於分享故事與美食，更喜歡與家人及朋友相聚。她待人真誠和善、性格開朗且充滿愛心。她的智慧、溫暖與堅強，深深感染了身邊的每一個人，也為親友們留下了無數美好的回憶。
她身後留下摯愛的家人: 妹妹劉心蓮，長女 盤彩麗 / 婿 陳泉飛 / 外孫 陳子謙、孝子 盤志榮 / 媳 曾彩梅 / 孫 盤展鳴、二女 盤彩美 / 婿 李唯良 和 三女 盤彩君 / 外孫女 陳曉鎔 / 外孫婿 吳振輝 / 曾外孫女 吳語庭 、吳思璇 。她身後留下了摯愛的親人，以及她為大家帶來滿滿的愛與溫暖。
今天，我們雖然因母親的離去而深感悲傷，但也為她豐盛、喜樂且富有意義的一生獻上最深的感恩。我們將永遠懷念她的慈愛、堅毅、信心與智慧。母親留給家人的不僅僅是無盡的回憶，更是一份彌足珍貴、永垂不朽的生命傳承。
我們深信，她如今已卸下世上的勞苦，在天父的懷抱裡得享永遠的平安與安息。
盤劉雪芬女士永遠活在我們心中。

親愛的媽媽，謝謝您一生的愛與付出。您雖離開了我們，但您的愛、榜樣與信心，將永遠與我們同在。
家屬衷心感謝在母親人生最後旅程中，給予她慰藉與照顧的醫護人員。特別鳴謝並致以崇高的謝意予 Maria、Odeline、Pai、Karina 以及患者、家屬與醫療護理團隊（Patient, Family & Health Care Team）。
我們將於八月九日 星期日在渥太華 280 Beechwood Avenue, Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services 舉行我們摯愛母親的追思會。親朋好友們，請於下午一點至三點前來弔唁，並於下午三點在 Beechwood’s Sacred Space 舉行安息禮拜。

In Loving Memory of Shuet Fun Lau
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shuet Fun Lau, who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the Ottawa General Hospital, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family.
Shuet Fun was born in Guangdong, China in 1932 to a farming family. She lived through great societal change and rose to become a women’s committee representative for her village despite her lack of a formal education. At the age of 32, she moved to Hong Kong to join her husband, Pun, Siu Tong, and start a family.
At the age of 49, Shuet Fun faced the heartbreaking loss of her husband. Though left to raise four children on her own, she met every challenge with determination and grace. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide for her family while also caring for her aging mother. Through her sacrifice and hard work, she raised her four children to become caring, educated, accomplished individuals, a legacy of which she was immensely proud. She was a woman of extraordinary strength whose devotion to her family shaped generations.
After the birth of her first grandson, Anson, Shuet Fun moved to Canada to live with her eldest daughter, Rainbow. She embraced this new chapter of life with the same strength and optimism that had guided her throughout the years. She found great joy in helping raise Anson and treasured the time spent with her family and new friends. Her years in Canada were filled with love, fellowship, and many cherished memories.
Twenty years ago, Shuet Fun became a Christian, and her faith became a source of comfort, support, and hope throughout the later years of her life. Although she faced health challenges in recent years, she remained steadfast in her trust in the Lord. Her faith gave her peace, courage, and strength, carrying her through difficult times and sustaining her with the assurance of God’s love and presence.
Shuet Fun had a vibrant spirit and a generous heart. She loved to travel, tell stories, share food, and gather with friends and family. Her warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength touched all who knew her. She faced life’s hardships with remarkable courage and met its joys with gratitude and enthusiasm.
She leaves behind her loving sister, Liu, Xin Lian, her beloved children, Rainbow (Danny), Paul (Mickey), Sandy (Jacky) and Joyce; her grandsons, Anson and Aman; her granddaughter, Chan, Hiu Yung (Ng, Chun Fai); and her two great-granddaughters, Ng, Yu Ting and Ng, Sze Shuen. She also leaves behind many relatives and friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, guidance, and love.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the fond memories she leaves with us and in the example she set through a life lived with dignity, perseverance, compassion, and faith. Her love will remain with us always, and her legacy will continue through the family she nurtured, the values she instilled in us, and the faith she carried in her heart.
As we mourn her passing, we also rejoice in the promise that sustained her throughout her Christian journey, trusting that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Shuet Fun will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.

Dear Mom, thank you for your lifelong love and dedication. Although you have left us, your love, your example, and your faith will always be with us.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the healthcare workers who comforted and cared for our mother during her final journey. Special recognition and gratitude go to Maria, Odeline, Pai, Karina, and the Patient, Family & Health Care Team.
A Celebration of Life for our dear mother will be held on Sunday, August 9th at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 1 pm to 3 pm and the funeral service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 3 pm.
