DESCRIPTION:All military members of the National Capital Region\, along with their families and friends\, are invited to attend the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces\, located within Beechwood Cemetery. This annual service brings together serving members\, veterans\, families\, and the community in a shared act of remembrance and gratitude.  Together\, we stand among the headstones of those who served\, reflecting on their courage and sacrifice\, and honouring the legacy they have left for Canada.  We welcome all who wish to show their support for the Canadian Armed Forces and join in this solemn moment of national remembrance.

DESCRIPTION:Join Us for the 154th Anniversary of the Founding of the North-West Mounted Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police  The RCMP Veterans’ Association\, Ottawa Division\, and Beechwood Cemetery invite you to attend the annual Founding of the Force Ceremony at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood on May 23\, 2027.  Each year\, this ceremony brings together serving and retired members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police\, their families\, and members of the public to honour the legacy\, service\, and sacrifice of those who have worn the scarlet tunic.  The ceremony is held on May 23 to commemorate the passage of the legislation that established the North-West Mounted Police on May 23\, 1873\, marking the beginning of what would evolve into today’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police. For more than 150 years\, members of the Force have served communities across Canada and around the world\, upholding the values of duty\, integrity\, professionalism\, and service.  Program  10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. – Commemorative Ceremony  Join us as we remember those who have served\, honour those who continue to serve\, and celebrate the enduring legacy of Canada’s national police service.

DESCRIPTION:Veterans National Memorial Remembrance Ceremony  The Veterans National Memorial Remembrance Ceremony brings together Veterans\, serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces\, motorcycle enthusiasts\, and supporters from across the region to remember and honour Canada’s Fallen.  Each year\, Veterans and Canadian Armed Forces motorcycle riders arrive at the National Military Cemetery of Canada at Beechwood to participate in a solemn Service of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony. This gathering serves as a visible demonstration of respect and gratitude for the men and women who served Canada in times of war\, military operations\, and peace support missions.  The ceremony provides a unique opportunity for riders and supporters to unite in remembrance\, share their pride in Canada’s military heritage\, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.  Date: Sunday\, June 6\, 2027  Location: National Military Cemetery of Canada Beechwood Cemetery 280 Beechwood Avenue Ottawa\, Ontario  Program  12:45 p.m. – Arrival of motorcycle groups and participants 1:00 p.m. – Veterans National Memorial Remembrance Ceremony 1:20 p.m. – Wreath-Laying Ceremony 1:30 p.m. – Conclusion of Ceremony  Important Information  Please note that there is no longer a central meeting location for participating motorcycle groups.
