SUMMARY:Honouring Soldiers of Suicide
DESCRIPTION:United together to honour soldiers of suicide See the faces of the unremembered in this sunset ceremony at the National Military Cemetery of Canada. Join the families and friends of the soldiers or veterans who gave their lives in service. Unite with us to open the conversation on the stigma of suicide in the military\, RCMP and OPS as we share in remembrance. This service will help connect one another through healing and understanding. Lest we forget. Family members only: Should you wish to submit a photo of your loved one (you must be a direct family member) to have shown on the National Military of Canada Monument during the service\, please submit your photo here. It needs to be their service photo. You can also reach out to Erika Wagner\, 613-741-9530 ex 122\, or ewagner@beechwoodottawa.ca. There is now an option to reuse the photo year over year at the ceremony. If you\, or anyone you know is struggling with the loss of a soldier from suicide\, please reach out to the HOPE. The HOPE Program offers continuous peer support and education on grief\, to help bereaved military families to better understand the grief process and provides coping strategies. www.HOPE-ESPOIR.com HOPE-ESPOIR@forces.gc.ca Toll free number: 1-800-883-6094
