Yao Kai Huang, aged 65, of Ottawa, Canada, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born to parents, Fung Ju and King Wan Huang , on April 23rd, 1954 in Guangzhou, China. He came to Canada at a young age and became an entrepreneur. He was a chef and restaurant owner. He was a loving and caring father to his two children.
He was married to Tsui, in 1985, who survives him. Yao is also survived by daughter Shirley Huang and husband Briant, son Brian Huang and partner Gabrielle. Yao was predeceased by parents Fung Ju and King Wan Huang, sister Bao Lim, brothers Ting Hoi Wong, Shao Kai Huang and Jie Kai Huang.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th, 2020 from 9:00 to 12:00PM at the Beechwood Cemetery, burial to follow.
