Passed peacefully on July 19, 2021. She is survived by loving daughter Suzanne Paulin, beloved grandchildren Vanessa Paulin and Jonathan Wilton, sister Violet Jacobs and brothers Stan, Les and Wilson Wilcox and all of our loving Newfoundland family. Loved by Robert Chaloux and dear widow of Wayne McInnes. This isn’t goodbye forever. Yes, I miss my Nan beyond words can explain and I love her the most in the world… but she wouldn’t want us to be sad and depressed about this. I will forever use the lessons, morals and values she taught me growing up. I will do everything I told her I wanted to accomplish. I miss my best friend and I will try my best to make her proud from above.

We never thought that life would be so short for you as we were chatting around May on the arrival of spring to bring something different in our lives. For nearly 13 years, you were a great neighbour who would start a conversation on various topics such as politics, social issues, economy, and religion. You shared your faith in Jesus Christ as a former Sunday school teacher. Based on that proclamation of faith, we are sure that your departure is just a good-bye (not a farewell) and you were welcome by the Lord.
You will certainly be missed and Peace in Christ to the whole family!

It is very hard to say goodbye. She was my rock when this got hard. She was my partner, traveling companion, and my love and joy. She had made me laugh so many times and to many to count. Last summer we road the roads on the motorcycle and what joys we had. We had plans for a nice ride but this did not happen. I will miss her very deeply and we will ride once again when we meet. Bless you with all my heart.

Pearl and I were friends for 40 + years, starting as young military wives. We had one of those friendships that was always there. In recent years, despite the miles, she was that friend that I’d have to call when something big was happening in my life. Even though we’d sometimes go months without chatting, when we did, it was like we hadn’t missed a beat. We’d always ended our phone chats with “I love you”. I will cherish my memories, the many laughs and good times we had. I will love and miss you forever, Pearl. Rest in peace my dear friend. ♥️Thinking of you Suzanne, Vanessa, Jonathan and Robert.
