Senhor Guilherme was very committed to the Senhor Santo Cristo Parish in Ottawa. I served on the board of directors of the church hall back in 1990, 1991. Both he and his wife Senhora Esmeralda remained committed to volunteering at the church for many years until recently.

Senhor Guilherme was a good man and a friend. Wishing the entire family my condolences and may he rest in Peace.

To my sister Esmeralda De Medeiros, my deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved husband. I want you to know how badly I wish to be there for you and your children as a source of support and strength through this difficult time. I'm sure there are going to be limits for funeral gatherings because of this virus and I want you to know that I want nothing more than to be there for you and your family in person. However you are in our thoughts and prayers in spirit instead. I wish I could be there for you like we are all used to in the pre-covid world. I'm keeping my faith for you to keep on with your strength. I love you. Rest in peace brother in law.

To the De Medeiros family, especially to my sister Esmeralda, both myself and your brother in law are so saddened to learn about the passing of your husband. Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow during this unimaginably difficult time. Although we can't be there in person to share the burden of your loss please know that you are not alone as we are both there with you in spirit. May you feel our love and may it lift you in this time of grief. This virus has changed the world and the way we all used to gather for one another during difficult times.
