Diane was loved and will be profoundly missed.  She passed away on January 19, 2021 at the Ottawa General Hospital from COVID-19.   She stayed with us as long as she could while valiantly battling other conditions relating to rheumatoid arthritis.

She leaves behind her mother, Thérèse Sauve, her daughter Jennifer MacIntosh (Scott Hillier), father of her children Daniel MacIntosh (Vivien). She was a very loving grandma to Kayla MacIntosh as well as Ronan and Owen Hillier. The family would like to thank Lise Drouin as well as cousins and friends for all their kindness. A special thank you to her best friend Lucie St.Jean Quesnel for the love and support throughout the years. We also deeply appreciate the nurses and doctors from the Covid team and Palliative care team at The Ottawa Hospital.

Diane is predeceased by her father Harold Skillen and her daughter Melissa MacIntosh.

A celebration of life will be held at Beechwood Cemetery once public health restrictions allow.  Should you wish, a donation in her memory to the Arthritis Society of Canada or Rideauwood Family Services would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Diane was a patient of mine over many years. I always looked forward to our visits. Despite having a huge burden of health problems she was always so kind and genuinely interested in how I was doing. Her love and pride for you Kayla came out so strongly in all of our conversations. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
