Our Matriarch, passed away peacefully, on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the age of 77, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Lucien Giroux Sr. for 59 years. Loving mother to Lucien Jr. (Danielle), Gisele Oakley (Steve Davies), and Jacqueline (James South). Dear grandmother to Rebecca (Al Durant), Justine Newby (Alain Rozon), Jacob Giroux (Megan Findlay), Reanna Giroux, Samuel Oakley (Heather Countryman), Taylor South (Chelsea DeJong), Katelyn South (Matt Porter), Ewen and Cassidy Eaton. Proud great-grandmother to Carter Giroux, Chloe and Corbin Brunet, Silas and Tanis Rozon, and Wyatt Durant. Ann-Marie will also be missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care Team of Brockville, South East LHIN, Bayshore Nursing, and CarePartners PSW’s.
As per Ann-Marie’s wishes, all funeral arrangements are private at this time. A Service will be held in the Spring of 2021. For those who wish to pay tribute or pass along condolences to the family of Ann-Marie please complete an entry in the online guestbook. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, Ann-Marie requested all donations be directed towards to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Peter and I are sending our heartfelt condolences to all of you. I am blessed to have such wonderful, crazy memories through the years of Auntie Anne Marie; from “borrowing” Mother’s Day flowers for Auntie and my Mom ,to having camp stool corn cob fights around the fire. Every memory in my mind has Auntie front and center, cooking, playing music and of course her wonderful laugh at the antics of Uncle Lucien and all of us crazy kids.
I hope that sharing these few special memories will make you smile a little in your time of grief.
