It is with sadness that her family announces the passing of Suzanne Julien on October 24th 2026, at the age of 95.
Suzanne was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Pierre (Pete) Julien. She leaves her daughter Natalie, son-in-law James Worrall, and beloved grandchildren Zoé and Leo.
Suzanne was blessed with 13 siblings, Louis Georges, Maurice, Carmen, Yvon, Jean-Guy, Jeanne, Robert, Pierre, Madeleine, Denise, Rachelle, Jacques and Denis, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Suzanne was a bright light in the lives of everyone she encountered. She was independent, curious and outgoing, with an uncanny ability to connect with people and make friends of strangers wherever she went. Suzanne was known as a great cook, a proudly excellent driver, and a devil at cards. She took the greatest joy in her family, and especially her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at the Ottawa Hospital and the May Court Hospice for their compassionate care in Suzanne’s final days. Special thanks go to Palliative Care physicians Drs Li, Ratté, and Brodeur.
A celebration of Suzanne’s life will take place at Beechwood Cemetery on Saturday November 21st. A graveside service for immediate family will be held at 1:30pm, followed by an informal gathering of family and friends at 2:30pm.
