A member of Canada’s Confederation Poets, Lampman found inspiration in the Canadian landscape, exploring nature, beauty, solitude and a rapidly changing country through his writing.
Buried at Beechwood, Lampman remains deeply connected to Ottawa and to the landscapes that shaped so much of his poetry.
Past & Present: Celebrating Archibald Lampman will bring his words back to life and explore why his poetry continues to resonate 165 years after his birth
