Ward Fredrick Bennett

Ward Bennett passed away unexpectedly at his home in Chesterville on September 19th, 2026.

A loving father of Leila Bennett and cherished husband of Pam Bennett. Ward was a man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending meaningful time with his family and friends.  He liked to keep busy with projects in his garage after he retired.

Ward spent many years working in Ottawa as a welder, later continuing his career as a dump truck driver.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the SDG first responders for their efforts and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Beechwood Memorial Centre in Ottawa (280 Beechwood Avenue) on Tuesday, September 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Immediately following the visitation, the inurnment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Ward’s memory.
