Nora Eva Stewart (nee Purdy)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of NORA EVA STEWART (née Purdy) on Thursday July 16, 2026 after a brief illness, and just shy of her 80th birthday.  Nora will now be reunited with beloved members of her family who passed before her, especially her husband Michael Stewart, sister Mona Brigitte, and parents Leonard and Elizabeth (Bessie) Purdy.  Nora is survived by her devoted daughter Dorothy (Jeff Paul), loving grandchildren Benjamin and Jillian, and her siblings Mary (Bob Colton, late Chuck Mills), Patrick, Rita (late Paul Babin), Carmel (Mike Volmer), and Modesta. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Friends may pay respects at the Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave. on Monday July 27, 2026, from noon to 1pm.  Funeral to follow at 1pm and reception from 2:30pm – 4:00pm.  In lieu of flowers donations in Nora’s name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
