Suzanne Beaulieu, born in Montreal on June 25, 1945, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026 in Ottawa the city she called home for many years.

Suzanne lived a life rich with curiosity, creativity and connection. She built a successful career as a human resource specialist, where her genuine interest in people and her natural warmth made her a trusted colleague and mentor, fostering an environment of growth and positivity.

Suzanne was also an avid watercolour painter, a passion that allowed her to express her adventurous spirit, capturing moments of beauty on paper that resonated deeply with all who had the privilege of seeing her work.

Suzanne is predeceased by her parents the late Mary Amsden of Toronto and Guy Beaulieu of Montreal and her devoted life partner, Avrom (Abbey) Evenchick, with whom she shared countless cherished memories and adventures.

Suzanne is survived by her sister, Denyse, her devoted companion, Tom Curran, her cousins from the Beaulieu, Singer, and Amsden families, as well as a vast circle of dear friends that will always remember her for her sincerity and the joy she brought into their lives.  We celebrate a life well lived.

In accordance with Suzanne’s wishes there will be no formal celebration of life.

In memory of Suzanne, donations can be made to the Montfort Foundation or to Indspire.

 

Suzanne Beaulieu, née à Montréal le 25 juin 1945, est décédée paisiblement le 21 mai 2026 à Ottawa, ville où elle avait élu domicile depuis de nombreuses années.

Suzanne a mené une vie riche en curiosité, en créativité et en relations humaines. Elle a connu une brillante carrière en tant que spécialiste des ressources humaines, un domaine où son intérêt sincère pour les gens et sa chaleur naturelle ont fait d’elle une collègue et une mentore de confiance, favorisant toujours un environnement de croissance et de positivité.

Passionnée de peinture à l’aquarelle, Suzanne y trouvait le moyen d’exprimer son esprit aventureux, capturant sur papier des moments de beauté qui touchaient profondément tous ceux qui avaient le privilège de contempler ses Å“uvres.

Suzanne est prédécédée par ses parents, Mary Amsden de Toronto et Guy Beaulieu de Montréal, ainsi que par son tendre partenaire de vie, Avrom (Abbey) Evenchick, avec qui elle a partagé d’innombrables souvenirs précieux et de belles aventures.

Elle laisse dans le deuil sa sÅ“ur Denyse, son compagnon dévoué Tom Curran, ses cousins des familles Beaulieu, Singer et Amsden, ainsi qu’un vaste cercle de précieux amis qui se souviendront toujours d’elle pour sa sincérité et la joie qu’elle apportait dans leur vie. Nous célébrons une vie pleinement vécue.

Conformément aux souhaits de Suzanne, aucune cérémonie officielle n’aura lieu.

En sa mémoire, des dons peuvent être faits à la Fondation Montfort ou à Indspire.

  1. I met Suzanne in 1996 when she was part of a hiring committee. We worked together for a year which was the beginning of a long, cherished friendship during which we shared joys and losses and created memories that will be with me forever. She listened, she respected, she loved, she challenged, she supported – what a treasure she was.

  2. Suzanne was a dedicated member of Senior Watch Alta Vista (of AVCA) for over two years. She generously shared her ideas, her talents and her time with our group as a volunteer. We are grateful for her contributions and for the kindness and commitment she brought to our seniors’ group. Her energy and her warm smile touched many of us. Suzanne will be dearly missed.

  3. Suzanne was a truly gifted artist and collaborated on many artistic projects with wisdom, creativity, charity and kindness.

    Her ever-present smile welcomed everyone and lite up every room.

  4. I did Suzanne’s windows for over 20 years. I always looked forward to her positive phone calls and being around such a beautiful person. I will definitely miss our visits. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.
