It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Saikaley, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Jeffrey was a tall, handsome businessman with a larger-than-life personality. His presence made him impossible to forget. Full of energy, enthusiasm, and humour, Jeffrey had a way of bringing laughter to those around him. His quick wit and vibrant spirit left lasting memories with family and friends.
Later in life, Jeffrey was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, helping to explain many of the challenges he had faced over the years. About twenty years ago, his life began to change dramatically as he experienced significant personal and financial losses. Despite the hardships he endured and the health struggles that marked his later years, Jeffrey continued to be deeply loved by those who knew him.
After several years of declining health, Jeffrey’s heart finally gave way, and he passed away peacefully on June 2nd 2026 at the age of 69.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his loving parents, Najeeb and Evelyn. He is survived by his devoted sister, Joanne Lamothe, and his brother, James. He also leaves behind his cherished nephews, Myles (Brooke), Ryan (Zoe) and Kyle (Natasha) whom he adored, as well as many cousins and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Though his journey was not always easy, Jeffrey’s warmth, laughter, and unforgettable personality will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to pay respects on Monday June 8, 2026 at the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa after 10:00am. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am followed by interment. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeffrey’s memory may be made to St. Elias Cathedral and The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
May he rest in peace.
