Unveiling of the Inuit Sacred Spiritual Symbol (Qulliq) at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces.

Join Us – National Ceremony at Beechwood Cemetery
On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, we invite you to join us at Beechwood Cemetery for a significant national moment of remembrance and recognition.
In partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces and Indigenous community leaders, the Beechwood Cemetery Foundation will host the Unveiling of the Inuit Sacred Spiritual Symbol (Qulliq) at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces.
This ceremony marks an important step forward in ensuring that Inuit members of the Canadian Armed Forces are honoured in a way that reflects their cultural identity, traditions, and spiritual beliefs. The Qulliq, a traditional Inuit lamp, symbolizes light, warmth, and continuity, values deeply connected to service, resilience, and community.
