Passed away in Ottawa on January 5, 2020, aged seventy-four.  Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Mildred Thomson.  Sister of Margaret Thomson (David Drynan) and Betty Warnock, she also leaves behind her children Cheryl Baker (William), Christopher and Peter, and her grand daughter Abby Baker.  Her loving kindness will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Sandra's former husband, Greg Brown, visited her often in these last years and was a dear friend.  Before falling ill she attended Bethany United Church, having grown up in Carlsbad Springs and Blossom Park, Gloucester.  She enjoyed singing and in her youth played folk guitar at several coffeehouses in Ottawa.  Anyone who read her letters or emails will recall Sandra's humour and natural gift for writing.  She was such a gentle soul and a loving mother.

Her family wishes to acknowledge and thank the many dedicated health care workers for their kindness and compassion towards Sandra.  Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave. on Sunday, January 12 from 1 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember cousin Sandra fondly; she used to set up treasure hunts for the kids up at Constance Bay just to keep us busy, and for my cousin, just because it was fun.
