Beloved wife and mother. Heart, anchor and soul of her family. Loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and mother-in-law. Amateur artist and intrepid genealogy researcher, she always maintained her passion and curiosity for life and approached every new adventure with enthusiasm. Her experiences in life and her unfaltering faith shaped her firm belief in the importance of God, family and the need for kindness to one another.

Passed away just two weeks shy of her 92nd birthday at home in Ottawa, in the company of her three daughters.

Born in Warsaw, Poland.  Spent an idyllic early childhood in Kobylka, Poland. Her late childhood years witnessed the arrival of German and Soviet troops in her beloved homeland and family home. Trained as an accountant, she worked in Warsaw in the post-war years. In 1956 she accompanied her mother to Canada for a planned three month visit to her sister. Her life took an unexpected turn when she was introduced to her future husband Andrzej (Andrew). Married in 1957, she and Andrzej lived in St. Catharines, Ontario for 42 years, then moved to Ottawa in 1999 to be closer to her sister and their three daughters.

Predeceased by her parents, Gustaw Ambrozewicz and Helena Kuzmicka, her brother Witek and sister Maria (Woyzbun). Leaves behind her heartbroken daughters Eva, Anna and Monica (David Marshall) who will be lost without her wisdom, guidance and unconditional love.

The family wishes to thank her treating physicians at the Ottawa Hospital, her family physician Dr. Shivani Gautam, and especially Dr. Regine Krechowicz, St. Elizabeth nurses, and the other physicians of the Central Palliative Group who made end of life care possible at home.

A private Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Hyacinth’s Church (Parafia Swietego Jacka) on October 18, 2019. Private interment at Beechwood Cemetery will follow at a future date.

As expressions of sympathy, in memoriam donations can be made to the Building Fund, St. Hyacinth Church, 201 Lebreton St. North, Ottawa, ON, K1R 7H9.

Wieczne odpoczywanie racz Jej dac Panie. A swiatlosc wiekuista niechaj Jej swieci na wieki wiekow. Amen.
