October 22 1973 - September 3 2019

Charlene Chitouras, aged 45, has peacefully passed away after suffering an unexpected brain aneurysm rupture on August 1st 2019. Charlene demonstrated her strength, surprising many-including medical professionals, with her ability to hold on and fight after encountering an injury of such magnitude. On September 3, 2019 Charlene painlessly and comfortably left this earth and will accompany her predeceased Father: Charles “Chick” Chitouras (1951-2003), and others including her Niece Gabriella (1991-1992), Godmother Louise (1952-1993) and Father In-Law Terrence (1947-2011).

She will be missed by many, including her Soulmate Harold Bennett, Sons Liam Bennett and Trevor-Lee Bennett, and Daughter Shena Chitouras. Charlene also leaves behind her Sister Sylvie Hutton, Mother Carole Trempe, Grandmother Sylvia Chitouras, four beautiful Grandchildren Aiden, Allysha, Aubrey, and Breeonah, as well as many other close family members and friends.

Charlene always made efforts to continuously improve herself, as well as others. She was always there to be a friend, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on. Charlene was often referred to as everyones “Rock”. She had a passion for nature and wilderness. She truly found the beauty in everything life had to offer. Charlene was a perfect example of perseverance - despite her ups and downs she overcame adversity turning into such an incredible and beautiful soul. She will be missed deeply by many. Rest in Peace Charlene.

Friends and Family are invited to visit Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 2 to 4:00PM and from 7 to 9:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Sacred Space of Beechwood on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00AM.  Burial to follow in the Beechwood Cemetery.

Charlene was more than just a sister. She was also my best friend and confidant. We have been through thick and thin together for the past 45 years and words cannot express the void my heart feels.

Charlene was a gentle, kind soul who faced many obstacles in life, but always wanted the best for others. Her sense of humour and honesty were definitely her best traits. She was one of a kind and will be missed dearly by anyone lucky enough to have known her or be loved by her.

Tu me manques, Ma Soeur and you will never be far from my heart!

It was a pleasure to chat with Charlene on a daily basis while waiting for the kids to come off the school bus. It was evident that she cared so much for Aiden and Allysha - from regular outings with them to making sure they had the very best of everything that she could offer. Her presence is very missed. Our deepest condolences to her entire family.

I was shocked and very sad to hear this news , we have had a few conversations on fb just before spring , I was telling you some old funny stories about your dad and how I admired him , he was like a big brother to me, although I haven't seen you since 1976, I never forgot you and your family, you made me and a few friends laughing at something you did when you were maybe a year or so old, rest in peace little angel,

We knew you for a short while back when and although family members drifted and/or moved away, I am so very sorry to hear of your passing. God took another Angel much too soon but I know that you Charlene were needed in heaven more than down here. Sending love, hugs and prayers to all the family you left behind. I know you are watching over them all and also that you are no longer suffering. R.I.P. Charlene. You will never be forgotten.
